Job description:CORPORATE, COMMERCIAL AND LITIGATION ATTORNEY A Cape Town based law firm with an established client base, has a vacancy for an attorney with at least 5 years post admission experience to start as soon as possible. The applicant should ideally have the following: • Experience in corporate and commercial law, with excellent knowledge and understanding of the Companies Act and law of contract; • Experience in litigation - both Magistrate’s Court and High Court; • Knowledge of Intellectual Property Law would be a definite advantage; • Must be able to run and build an independent practice – existing client base will be beneficial. Salary is negotiable and will depend on experience and qualifications. Experience level will be tested during interviews and references will be checked and verified. Candidate Attorneys - Glyn Marais Inc

Job description:As a Candidate Attorney of Glyn Marais, you will be exposed to the various practice areas of the firm. You will accompany attorneys to consultations and work very closely with Directors and Associates on various projects. Glyn Marais rotates Candidate Attorneys every six months to ensure exposure to all the practice areas covered by the firm. In addition to training that is given during the two year period, Candidate Attorneys will be required to attend weekly legal training sessions, which training covers various legal topics, presented by all Associates and Candidate Attorneys with input from Directors of Glyn Marais. Applications for Candidate Attorneys must reach us by no later than 30 June of each year. Please include a detailed CV, reference letter, copies of full academic transcripts and a motivational letter.
